FG approves N87.4 billion for construction of Minna-Kontagora highway – Pegars News

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has accepted N87.4 billion to assemble part one of the Minna-Zungeru-Regina-Kontagora highway.

Works and Housing Minister Babatunde Fashola disclosed this whereas briefing State House correspondents at the finish of the council assembly presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday in Abuja.

Mr Fashola disclosed that the highway mission was one of the 4 memos accepted for the ministry by the FEC.

He mentioned the highway mission, accepted in favour of a three way partnership, DeValco HMF Construction, would be funded as beforehand accepted in 2021 beneath the Tax Credit Scheme.

The second memo was offered to the council on behalf of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency for the award of a contract for the construction of the Isheri North Road in Lagos that connects Ogun.

He mentioned the contract was accepted in favour of Acute Option Limited with a contract worth of N2,104,483,739.

He said that the FEC additionally accepted pension funds for members of workers of the now-defunct Federal Mortgage Finance Limited.

“This stood at N4,774,517,205 with an additional N41.96 million,” he added.

Also, the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, expressed regrets about the unlucky incident in Zamfara the place air strikes by the Air Force unintentionally killed some residents whereas focusing on bandits.
