A trailer conveying Coca-Cola products lost control and rammed into several commercial tricycles and six cars at the Ogbor-hill waterside in the early hours of Wednesday.
The truck lost control along the Access/Diamond bank axis of the road and ran into vehicles plying the road, including tricycles loaded with passengers.
An eyewitness, Uche, said it was a miracle that no life was lost in the accident
“Thank goodness, no life was lost as many with injuries were taken to nearby medical facilities,” he told THE WHISTLER.
Some residents berated the state agency responsible for traffic management for not removing the vehicles involved from blocking traffic.
One lane of the Ikot-Ekpene road that is a major route to Ogbor-hill and Obingwa is still blocked because of the vehicles on the road.
